The third preview from Ryan Adams’ forthcoming LP Fire and Ashes is an acoustic version of a song entitled “Chains of Love. Adams has finally shed light on where these preview videos for his forthcoming album (due out October 11) came from. It turns out, they were shot at Adams’ own all-analog studio. The studio was recently built in his new hometown of Los Angeles. Aptly named after his record label, PAX-AM studios features an amazing collection of vintage gear: a Motown recording console, a mixing desk used by the Beatles and the Doors, Elvis’ engineer’s old vocal mics, and the speaker mains used on Metallica’s Master of Puppets.
